Instructions for Caterers & Dry Hire at Crown Banqueting Suite
General Instructions:
Unloading of food to be done through the back delivery door to the venue through the car park. This
applies to all times during hire.
ALL items to be placed in the kitchen. Nothing is to be placed in the corridors outside the kitchen
or in front of the cleaning cupboard under any circumstances.
No items of any description to be left outside the back delivery door or office door to the Venue.
You will have access to the fridge, freezer and all gas appliances in the kitchen but not the
dishwasher. (Additional hire charge applies to using Crown gas and appliances.)
Crown does not supply any pots, pans or utensils. Caterers to bring their own.
UNDER NO circumstances are oil fryers permitted to be used outside the Venue, whether gas or
electric.
No used oil to be left in the venue or disposed of down the sink.
No food or drink including alcohol is permitted outside of the venue due to Public Spaces Protection
Order by London Borough of Redbridge Council and Metropolitan Police. Failure to comply is an
offence carrying a maximum fine of £1,000 or £100 Penalty Notice. Further details on the PSPO can be
found at www.redbridge.gov.uk.
No alcohol to be served in glass bottles. Plastic cups must be used.
Our premises licence is until 1am. No alcohol or music is strictly allowed after this time and is a
legal requirement. Failure to comply will result in forfeit of full damage deposit.
Public Liability Insurance, Minimum £5 million and a 5-star FSA hygiene rating with business name
and date issued showing on the certificate must be provided to the Venue minimum 3 weeks BEFORE the
date of booking.
Any electrical items need to be PAT tested and certificate provided.
For dry hire venue, we provide tables & chairs only.
Please ensure that you leave the kitchen and corridors in the condition they were given to you in.
This includes ovens/hobs/surfaces/fridge/bins etc. (We can provide cleaning sprays if you don't have
any, but not blue rolls or bin bags.)

All rubbish must be removed and disposed of in bin liners and placed in our green bins located
outside in the car park, next to main gates. Cardboard must be broken down.
All Crown plates, cutlery & crockery must be emptied and left in kitchen by hirer.
All cleaning must be done in your allocated hire time.
A fine will be levied to the hirer if areas are not left clean and tidy.

Important Kitchen Cleaning Checklist:
Clean gas oven spills and oven turned off
Combi oven & trays cleaned
Grill and griddle cleaned
All stock pot cookers and spills cleaned
Mains gas turned off
All worktops clean and sanitised
Microwave oven cleaned
All leftover food removed
Used oil disposed correctly (not in sink)
All bins are emptied & clean
All sink and taps cleaned and disinfected
All refrigeration equipment cleaned
All heating equipment and units are turned off
Floor swept, mopped and oil free
Mops cleaned and cleaning equipment put away
