Music Guidelines and Policies at The Crown Banqueting Suite, Ilford.
At The Crown Banqueting Suite, Ilford, we are committed to creating a memorable experience for your event while respecting our local community. Due to our residential surroundings, we have specific guidelines to ensure that music is enjoyed responsibly within our venue.
Before accepting a booking, please make sure you're happy to comply with our requirements set out below:
In accordance with our license please ensure all music must stop by 11:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays, and all music must stop by 01:00 AM on Friday, Saturday & Sundays. Strict compliance is required to abide by licensing laws.
All the power sockets located in The Crown Banqueting Suite are connected to an automatic timer which cuts the power off. You will get 10 minutes at the end to give you enough time to shut down any sensitive equipment. Our lovely Event Managers cannot override the automatic cut off.
We suggest you wind things down slightly earlier to enable you to play the 'one more' which is often requested when you have a full dance floor!!
We ask all our Bands, DJs and entertainers to have packed up by 11:30 PM & 01:30 AM respectively at the latest. That's 30 minutes after the music stops to pack up your equipment.
No music is allowed in the outdoor terrace area to maintain the serene environment for our neighbours.
Due to our residential surroundings, we require sound levels to stay within specific limits (85–95 dB) and playing above this can lead to equipment shutdown. The sound limiter is a condition of our license, and it is not possible to override the settings or disable the sound limiter. We appreciate that a sound limiter is not ideal, but we must comply with the conditions of our license at all events.
DJs and bands must be willing to reduce volume immediately if requested by management due to noise complaints.
DJs are responsible for ensuring the music they play is legally sourced. Using "pirated" or YouTube-ripped music is illegal and can lead to poor sound quality and legal action.
The top of your speakers must not be raised more than 1.5 metres from the ground. Fire exits must remain clear, and equipment must be safely set up. No cables may cross the Fire Exit which must remain closed. It is not possible to leave any equipment overnight with us.
Protective covering must be placed over the tile floor before laying the dance floor. Damaged or chipped tiles will incur loss of damage/security deposit.
Required. Please make sure we have a copy of your Public Liability Insurance and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Certificate for your equipment, before the event day.
You're welcome to email them to us directly at info@crownbanquetingsuite.com or send them to the hirer who'll forward them on.
Please understand that we must have a copy of the Public Liability Insurance and a Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Certificate. You will not be permitted to perform at the venue unless we have these documents in place.
